Palo Santo

Palo Santo, which means “holy wood”, is a tree that grows on the coast of South America. Burning Palo Santo is a sacred practice used by Indigenous communities of the Andes to cleanse their space and ward off evil spirits. Unlike Sage, which eliminates both positive and negative energies, Palo Santo only eliminates negative energy leaving behind whatever positive energy was already present in the space. Palo Santo is part of the citrus family and has very pleasant sweet notes of pine, mint, and lemon.
