Abhaya Mudra Buddha

This is a sitting Abhaya Mudra Buddha. Each Buddha always has a different mudrā (hand gesture) this mudrā symbolizes the gesture of fearlessness, reassurance and safety, which eliminates fear and provides divine protection and bliss in Buddhism. The right hand is held upright with the palm is facing outwards while the left hand lays upwards near sacral chakra. This is one of the earliest mudrās found depicted in many Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Sikh images.
